I'm Cherie

For over 30 years, I’ve walked alongside people on their healing journeys as a psychotherapist, educator, and guide. I’ve had the privilege of witnessing the incredible power of the human spirit—the quiet strength that rises after heartbreak, the courage to reclaim one’s story, and the beauty of growth even in life’s most challenging moments.

What I’ve learned along the way is that the tools for healing aren’t outside of us—they are already within. Healing begins in the spaces where we feel safe, seen, and free to express ourselves. Therapy can be powerful, but I’ve come to believe that healing can also happen in other ways—through creativity, connection, and the simple yet profound act of showing up for yourself.

This realization has shaped my life’s work. It’s what led me to blend my years as a therapist with my passion for the expressive arts, creating experiences that help people uncover their inner wisdom and reconnect with the parts of themselves they’ve been longing to meet.

The Birth of Temenos

Years ago, I came across the concept of temenos—a sacred, protected space where transformation can occur. The moment I read it, something clicked. This is who I’ve always been, I thought. Creating spaces where people feel safe to explore, express, and grow isn’t just what I do—it’s part of me.

For me, temenos isn’t just a space; it’s a feeling. It’s the warmth of being fully seen, the quiet courage to speak your truth, and the sacred permission to simply be. It’s a container for healing, creativity, and magic—a place where transformation becomes possible.

The Joy of Teaching and the Power of Expression

If there’s one thing I love as much as creating these spaces, it’s teaching. Guiding others to discover their creativity and power is one of my greatest joys. Whether it’s through shadow work, expressive arts, or sacred gatherings, teaching allows me to share tools that make healing accessible to anyone who’s ready to step into their growth.

The expressive arts hold a special place in this work. They meet us where words can’t reach—offering a way to process what’s inside, find meaning in the messiness, and express the parts of ourselves that long to be seen. Art, writing, movement, and ritual all have a way of bringing us back to who we truly are.

The Temenos Collective was born from a desire to make healing more accessible, more creative, and more connected. It’s a space where anyone—no matter where they are in their journey—can feel safe, nurtured, and inspired.

This work is deeply personal to me because I believe in the power of the human spirit. I’ve seen what happens when people are given the space to grow, and it’s nothing short of magic.

My Approach

What I Do and Why It’s Different

The work we do at The Temenos Collective is rooted in the belief that healing comes from within—and it doesn’t have to look like traditional therapy. What makes this space different is how we blend creativity, self-expression, and the mystical to create experiences that meet you where you are.

Here, we focus on cultivating the active practices of Self Reflection, Self Discovery, Self Compassion and Self Awareness. We do this through community events, partnering with other local artisans, classes, workshops, moon rituals, ceremonies and so much more. There are multiple pathways to coming home to yourself while expanding into your sweetest dreams.
